Noticing, the first step in seeing anew
Every month, I share a challenge to exercise attention, dwell longer in the analog, and improve our ability to see.
I started practicing this type of exercise some years ago, inspired by the book The Art of Noticing by Rob Walker. I enjoyed reading it so much that I decided to invite a friend to try out some of the prompts with me and play together. My intention was to awaken all of my senses, test how attentive a listener and observer I was, and capture more of what really matters and is valuable to me.
The idea was for the two of us to come up with a creative or meditative task each week, alternating between us, and put it into practice in the atelier of our lives. Then we would share our experiences and reflections—face-to-face, in a written message, or in a recorded audio.
Now I’m inviting you to join in.
This is my crusade to live more creatively through the small, everyday opportunities we can carve out in our lives—the ones that remind us of what is human and irreplaceable.
I invite you on a journey of discovery. Each month, I’ll set a challenge for myself—and for you, if you choose to join me—to explore something more closely and see what it reveals in our own corner of the world.

“Every day is filled with opportunities to be amazed, surprised, enthralled—to experience the enchanting everyday. To stay eager. To be, in a word, alive.”
