Learning & Inspiration
Curiosity is not a hobby.
It is a way of being.
The best communications professionals I know are restless readers and perpetual students. This page is a window into what shapes me and my thinking — the books, voices, rooms, and unexpected detours that directly or indirectly mold what I create.

Everybody Writes
Your go-to guide to creating ridiculously good content
Ann Handley
Long before content marketing became part of the conversation in Sweden, Anne Handley had already become my guide to better writing. The teaching of this book changed the way I think about words and the people reading them. At university, writing in English often meant proving you had mastered the language: long, intricate sentences, and sophisticated vocabulary that impressed more than they communicated. Handley shows me that great writing is not about sounding clever but about making people feel understood. Clear, useful, human-centred communication became the standard I wanted to hold myself to, whether I was writing a website, an article, a newsletter, or a social media post. More than a copywriting book, this became a reminder that good communication is an act of generosity.
Content Rules
How to Create Killer Blogs, Podcasts, Videos, Ebooks, Webinars (and More) That Engage Customers and Ignite Your Business
Ann Handley & C.C. Chapman
I discovered Content Rules at a time when content marketing was still a new concept in many organizations. While others were asking whether blogs, newsletters, or videos were worth investing in, this book was already showing how thoughtful, valuable content could build trust long before it led to business. What stayed with me was not a checklist of formats or channels but the idea that content is not something we produce to fill a calendar or feed the algorithm. It is something we create to help people, answer questions, and build lasting relationships. Many of the principles I still use today—creating content with purpose, thinking editorially, and putting the audience's needs before the organization's agenda—can be traced back to this book. It helped me see communication as an ecosystem rather than a collection of isolated pieces.
Content Strategy for the Web
Kristina Halvorson & Melissa Rach
My go-to manual for managing content in complex organizations. It offers a practical framework for everything from defining a core content strategy and deciding what content should exist, to establishing workflows, roles, and governance when many people are involved in creating and maintaining it. A book I keep coming back to whenever content needs not just creativity, but structure. I also recommend Halvorson’s The Content Strategy Podcast, where conversations with content strategists and designers offer plenty of practical advice, fresh perspectives, and ideas to bring into everyday content work.
Social Media Strategy
Marketing, Advertising, and Public Relations in the Consumer Revolution
Keith A. Quesenberry
A comprehensive guide to thinking strategically about social media rather than treating it as a collection of platforms and posts. It connects marketing, advertising, and public relations with audience behaviour, helping you move from business objectives and audience insights to an integrated social media strategy. A useful reference whenever I need to zoom out from content creation and look at the bigger picture.
The Coaching Habit
Say Less, Ask More & Change the Way You Lead Forever
Michael Bungay Stanier
This book taught me that leadership is not always about having the answers but asking better questions. Working in strategic communication often means bringing together people with different expertise, priorities, and perspectives. Engineers, marketers, HR professionals, sustainability experts, product managers... each holds a piece of the story. The Coaching Habit reminded me that my role is not to dominate the conversation but to create the conditions for better ones. The book's philosophy of listening deeply, staying curious a little longer, and resisting the urge to jump straight into solutions has become part of how I facilitate workshops, lead cross-functional projects, and interview subject matter experts. The strongest communication strategies rarely come from one person; they emerge through thoughtful questions and genuine collaboration. Communication begins long before we start writing. It begins with listening.
Feck Perfuction
Dangerous Ideas on the Business of Life
James Victore
I got this book as a gift from a very dear friend of mine. The present was the most liberating idea: creativity does not belong only to painters with gallery exhibitions or authors with bestselling books. It belongs to anyone willing to see the world differently and make something from that perspective. I understood that creativity is not defined by a profession or an artistic title. Instead, creativity is a way of approaching work, solving problems, and expressing ourselves.
The Art of Noticing
131 Ways to Spark Creativity, Find Inspiration, and Discover Joy in the Everyday
Rob Walker
I own this book both in paperback and as an audiobook. Whenever I need a reminder that the world is far bigger than my routines, I simply press play to start exploring my everyday world with fresh eyes. These pages have become an invitation to let my mind wander, enjoy the analogue, and attend to what others overlook.
The Artist's Way
A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity
Julia Cameron
This was the first book on creativity and marked the beginning of one of my most creative periods. Not long after reading it, I began writing and publishing teaching materials for several Swedish publishing houses. Its practices became part of my life. I still return to the morning pages and I have my weekly date with myself as a way of nurturing curiosity and making space for new ideas. Creativity is something we cultivate and do.

Experiments
The unexpected teachers behind my work. Listening. Asking. Observing.
Improv Theatre
I found an improv course on Narrative, Dramaturgy & Storytelling and signed up hoping to sharpen the skills I already use in my work. At the same time, I started devouring books on improvisation and quickly discovered that its greatest lessons weren't about performing at all. They were about listening, embracing uncertainty, and stepping into someone else's story. Improv's first rule is "Yes, and." Accept what you're given and build on it.
Podcasting
What began as a creative experiment with two close friends became an excuse to play again. Together we created the brand, developed the concept, and recorded conversations that laugh at the misunderstandings, cultural clashes, and everyday absurdities of living between languages and cultures. Getting lost in translation is less lonely when shared! 3 Sapos de Otro Pozo is available on Spotify (in Spanish).

After years of trying to find my way back to painting, clay found me instead. Working with clay became another way of expressing how I see the world—through flowers, quiet objects, and small details that invite people to slow down, look closely, and notice what they might otherwise miss.
